1. Do I need to already be homeschooling to work with you?

Not at all. Many families are just beginning and simply need help knowing where to start. Whether you’re exploring homeschooling for the first time or already in the middle of the journey, I’m here to help you create a plan that fits your family.

2. With what ages do you help?

I work with families across a variety of ages and stages, helping parents navigate homeschooling in a way that feels realistic, peaceful, and personalized for their children and season of life.

3. What happens during the consultation?

Our initial Zoom consultation lasts about 45–60 minutes. We’ll talk through your family’s needs, goals, concerns, personalities, learning styles, and daily rhythms. This gives me the foundation I need to create a customized homeschool plan for your family.

4. Will you help me choose curriculum?

Yes! Curriculum guidance is one of the areas many families feel overwhelmed by, and I’m happy to help simplify the process. I’ll offer recommendations based on your children, your goals, and the type of homeschool environment you hope to create.

5. What if I already started homeschooling but things aren’t working?

That’s more common than you think. Sometimes families simply need a reset, a fresh perspective, or help adjusting expectations and rhythms. You do not have to start over completely—we can work together to make minor changes to your homeschool to feel more manageable and life-giving again.

6. Do you create a schedule for us?

I help families build realistic rhythms and routines that work for their unique season of life. Rather than creating rigid schedules, my goal is to help you establish a flexible plan that brings structure without unnecessary pressure.

7. What happens after the consultation?

After our call, I’ll create a personalized homeschool plan tailored specifically to your family. Then we’ll meet again for a 30–45 minute follow-up call where we’ll walk through the plan together and make sure you feel confident moving forward.

You’ll also have one month of ongoing support for questions, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning.

8. How much does it cost?

The full “Charting Your Course” consultation package is $195 and includes:

Initial consultation (45–60 minutes)
Personalized homeschool plan
Follow-up call (30–45 minutes)
One month of support

9. Is this faith-based?

Faith is an important part of my family’s homeschool journey and the heart behind Steady Harbor. My desire is to encourage families with grace, wisdom, and support while helping them create a homeschool life rooted in peace and purpose.

10. What if I feel overwhelmed or unsure if I can do this?

You are not alone.

Many parents come into homeschooling feeling uncertain, intimidated, or afraid they are not “qualified enough.” One of my greatest hopes is to help families move from fear and overwhelm to confidence and peace—one step at a time.
