Families We've Guided

Testimonials:
Dear Melissa,
Thank you! Thank you for your prayers, wisdom, discernment
and guidance for our family's homeschool.
You listened to our goals, successes and challenges. You
encouraged me to contemplate and write down how I truly wanted
our homeschool to look.
The 30 day reset was personalized for us. It was peaceable and
enjoyable. We were gently moving forward in our studies, while
developing habits for personal reset time, house cleaning, family
and outside time.
After the 30 day reset, again, you gave us a personalized daily
schedule. This gave us a clear way to proceed. I learned we can
have a cleanish house, food prepped, accomplish the school work
planned and still have time for taking the kids to the park and
having time for personal hobbies.
By God's grace, your plans have given me the ability to enjoy the
homeschool process more, savoring the time with my kids and not
feeling pulled in three different directions. Instead, I am feeling
more focused and present.
Steady Harbor Homeschool has been such a wonderful support
and encouragement for our family. Melissa is welcoming,
organized, and truly focused on helping both parents and
students thrive. You can tell there is genuine care behind
everything she does. We’re so thankful to have had an
opportunity to work with this company.

I came to Melissa reluctant and I left rejuvenated! I am a homeschool mom of 5 children (ages 4, 7, 10, 13, 14) and am wrapping up my 8th year of homeschooling. There is always room for improvement and Melissa prayerfully looks over your current schedule, habits, and wishes and
helps fine tune these areas in ways that are simple and attainable, yet so effective. Melissa helped me adjust my schedule just slightly and things instantly began flowing a bit more seamlessly. She also gave us several ideas for family habits to incorporate during the school
day that have been a game changer. I appreciated the initial questions that were asked which forced me to take time and reflect on what is really most important in my homeschool, what are my non-negotiables, and what areas I want to see improvement in. Melissa lays out an easy to follow plan for your family that takes place in phases so that implementation of new patterns/habits/etc. are very manageable. If you have questions about homeschooling in general, scheduling, curriculum, homeschooling older children with toddlers/babies around,
family habits and chores, what a homeschooling family can look like, or just need a highly qualified homeschool veteran to help you tweak a few things (or a lot of things!), Melissa is your girl.

The day I sat down with Melissa, I was completely burnt out —
overwhelmed and simply checking boxes to get through our
homeschool day. After homeschooling five children for six years, I
felt like I should have had it all figured out by now. Since we
attend a tutorial program two days a week, with assignments
given for the off days, I wasn’t even sure there was much that
could realistically be changed.
But from the moment we sat down together, it felt like talking with
a lifelong friend. We dug into the heart of our homeschooling —
the beautiful parts and the hard parts. I was vulnerable, yet never
once did I feel judged. Melissa truly has a gift.
The very next morning, I felt my joy for homeschooling returning
simply because we had talked through everything. Then I
received the plan, and life immediately began to feel lighter. Thirty
days later, I felt God back at the center of our homeschool, and
the peace in our home had returned.
This was one of the best investments I have ever made.
